Okay, Georgia Educators, are you up for a challenge?

 Ginger and John Bennett

Tonight I received an email from Ginger Bennett titled “Hurricane Update,”  where she shares about the work they’ve been able to accomplish there in Pearlington, Mississippi, partnering with Mission Love Seeds to bring badly needed relief to an area that you don’t hear a lot about anymore, if at all.

I’ve copied out the email on my blog and I won’t take up time or space here to do it again.  Just scoot over to my blog, Memorable Moments, and read it for yourself.  I’m planning on asking my studio families if they will help in sponsoring this lady that Ginger writes about who has worked so hard to try to get back into her own home.    See if you think you might be able to share this with your KM families as well.  Wouldn’t it be neat if the Georgia Partnership managed to raise enough funds to finish Kitty Doby’s house for her?!

If you do use this as a service project for your studio, would you please let me know, so we can share it with the Partnership?  And thank you for taking the time to read Ginger’s note.  You can hear her heartbeat for her community shine right through.

Blessings to you all!

Another ABC WebCT Course Offered

I just received this information in my inbox and thought I’d pass it along in case some of you who didn’t get into the first class still wanted to sign up.   From KI:

The Partnership of Kindermusik Educators presents a new course—
ABC Music & Me™: New online classes begin March 4th.
Register today!
It’s as easy as A, B, C!
Join a qualified Kindermusik mentor as she guides you through five short lessons—one lesson every other week—to share just how easy it can be to incorporate ABC Music & Me into your program offering. Learn the following:

Review ABC Music & Me lesson components, pedagogy issues, and classroom management.
Create your promotional packet and confidently approach learning center directors.
Price ABC Music & Me and even offer a financial incentive to center directors.
Generate $4200 annually with just one ABC Music & Me class! (based on 10 children per unit)
Transition from Music Box™ to ABC Music & Me, and use this curriculum in your studio program.

By the end of the course you will have successfully approached learning centers and expanded your Kindermusik program. These training sessions fill quickly, and space is limited. Register from the Kindermusik Courses page in the Educator Store. This course is free to registrants that demonstrate intentional participation* . Be prepared to enter your credit card information. Your card will not be charged but it will reserve your seat in the class. Activities include one lesson every other week; communication with your peers via chat sessions, teleconference and email; video clips of actual classes in the learning center setting; conducting a demo class, and quizzes to assess your progress. Course concludes mid April. Completion earns 1.0 CEU.
*Time commitment is 10 hours on average to complete the course. Educators that register and then fail to post their coursework online will be assessed a fee of $40.

Heads up! New marketing materials!

I didn’t know how many of you might have seen the new marketing campaign from KI  on the KI website.  It’s titled “Your Child Deserves the Best” and the link is listed at the top of the Teacher’s Lounge homepage.  I’ve got a resized image on my blogpage.  It took me a while to finally get the size down to fit the blog.  They’ve given us postcards, ads of all sizes, and flyers in 4 colors and black & white to work with.  If you want to see or use the resized photo on my blog, it’s listed to the right in the blogroll.  (Memorable Moments from Masterworks)  These look like terrific materials.   Thanks goes to KI!
